How to Make the Most of Your Thanksgiving Leftovers

The traditional Thanksgiving meal is delicious but who are we kidding, the leftovers are pretty amazing too! Weather you have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes or green bean casserole leftovers there are many options to choose from to enjoy your favorites all over again while freeing up some refrigerator space. So grab your leftovers and give one or a few of these recipes a try, your taste buds will thank you. 

Leftover Casserole

The first idea does not even need a recipe. A  delicious casserole can be made with all the amazing leftovers in your fridge. Line a greased casserole dish with a layer of potatoes, turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberries and top with some rolls, add anything else you have in your refrigerator and would like in your casserole. Bake in the oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or just long enough to reheat and enjoy. All the goodness of Thanksgiving can be recreated in each bite.

Thanksgiving Panini Sandwiches

Again, no recipe is needed for these amazing sandwiches. Grab some of your favorite sourdough bread or ciabatta rolls and you are set. Spread some cranberry sauce on each slice of bread, top one piece with turkey, stuffing and potatoes,cover with your second piece of bread and grill in your panini press or grill pan until warmed and the outside of the bread is crispy, serve with some gravy as your dipping sauce. Breakfast Ideas

Thanksgiving leftovers do not have to be limited to dinner ideas either, check out this amazing quiche recipe that your family will love and enjoy with some of your turkey leftovers. You can also whip up a sweet potato hash and serve with eggs and top with some cranberries. 

Turkey Pot Pie

A turkey pot pie will be sure to please your taste buds. Put a twist on the traditional pot pie filling and check out this idea instead. Add your pie crust to the bottom of your pie dish, layer in your potatoes, green bean casserole turkey and gravy, cover with a second pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until heated and pie crust is browned. Enjoy.
